In addition to the online experience enjoyed by fans, the Tour Trackerâ„¢ is the only technology available that can simultaneously provide broadcast graphics for television production teams. This exciting technology has been used to put live GPS data, live maps, live profiles, time gaps and more on broadcast television.
Using the Tour Tracker platform for broadcast video, producers can select and customize one or more visualizations to overlay onto their broadcast.
While literally any of the online Tour Tracker features can be provided as broadcast overlays, the most common are shown below as provided to the the 2009 Tour of Missouri production team. There was a live ticker in the upper-left that used real GPS data to show the distance to go for the break and the time gap to the peloton. Also included were a semi-transparent profile view of the race and a semi-transparent map view.
Tour Tracker has been designed to anticipate and seamlessly mange the requirements of multi-broadcaster coverage of the same event. Tour Tracker’s web, mobile and tablet applications also use state-of-the-art geo-limiting technology to prevent the distribution of broadcast video-feeds to areas not authorized to receive the broadcast.
